How do I measure Influence?

There are multiple ways of looking at your Influence on Twitter starting with the Simplify360 INFLUENCE SCORE. This score is calculated based on the number of RETWEETs, MENTIONs and more importantly your FOLLOWERS. The score is updated at least once in a week to reflect your Twitter Activities. It ranges from 0 to 100.

INFLUENCE SCORE more than 50 is an indication of a good influence on Twitter.

Influence is a combination of how many people you reach and how many reactions you receive. For example for celebrity, a single TWEET can receive thousands of reactions and reach to millions.

The second way to look at your influence is to keep track of your growth in FOLLOWERS and FOLLOWINGS RATIO. If the ratio is high it means more people are unconditionally following you.  And if your FOLLOWERS and LISTED count is increasing rapidly it shows that your activities are gaining more traction on TWITTER.

  1. Go To INSIGHTS > Twitter Analytics
  2. Click on the Twitter Channel whose Analytics you want to see.
  3. On the LEFT-HAND menu, Click on ACCOUNT STATISTICS.

The first 4 graphs on the dashboard measure your trend in FOLLOWERS, FOLLOWINGS, LISTED and the RATIO.

*LISTED is the count of public groups on Twitter, where you have been listed.

The third way to look at your influence is to measure how quickly your followers respond to your TWEETS. Generally, when an INFLUENCER (Celebrities) makes a tweet they receive a huge response within a second.

  1. Go to INSIGHTS>Twitter Analytics
  2. Click on the Twitter Channel whose Analytics you want to see.
  3. On the LEFT-HAND menu, Click on TWEET ANALYTICS.
  4. Scroll down to 5th ROW of the dashboard

The chart on the left-hand side labeled TIME SPAN HISTOGRAM shows you the count of reactions you receive every hour. The larger the response on the FIRST HOUR, the higher is your influence.
